When I started A Kiss at Midnight, I had a lot of questions about the prince who rescues Cinderella. What was he doing, choosing his wife by her shoe size? Why on earth was he choosing a wife in such a way? But I had an image of him in mind: a man who didn’t want be a prince, who wasn’t comfortable in his embroidered jackets, who dreamed of another life. Voila! This comes from the pages of an Italian magazine.
