Jem’s wonderfully depraved, tired, rock star of a personality was great fun to create. And I had help visualizing him – I borrowed some features from one of my favorite actors: Robert Downey, Jr. The picture here is not of RD in muscled, post-rehab perfection, because while Jem doesn’t abuse drugs, he shares RD’s world-weary sexiness.
